FISP® AM Cell-Free Sampling Probe

NEW

For the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel

The FISP® AM is a sampling probe that allows the withdrawal of sterile, cell-free samples from the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel

Aseptic automated sampling from your Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel

Fully Disposable

The installation of the FISP AM and cell-containing sample line on to the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel depicted in this video should be performed in a sterile hood. The video also shows how the operator can still obtain a manual cell-containing sample while having the Ambr 250 Modular Vessel connected to the Seg-Flow Aseptic Automated Sampling System.

Description

One of the common roadblocks amongst discovery and process development scientists has been limited space for ports associated with small bench-scale bioreactors less than 1L. Because of Flownamics’ nearly 30 years of expertise in developing sampling probes and integrative sampling systems, scientists have been turning to Flownamics to develop a cell-free sampling solution specifically to fit in the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 vessel. To meet the increasing market need, Flownamics® announces the launch of the FISP® AM sample probe for this popular request.

FISP® AM allows direct on-line cell-free sample transfer from the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel to the Seg-Flow Aseptic Automated Sampling Systems, analyzers (such as biochemistry and HPLC systems) and/or fraction collectors for off-line analysis.

Features

  • Used with the Sartorius® Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel
  • Single-use
  • Sterile (0.2 μm Filter), cell-free sampling for on-line or off-line analysis
  • Minimal dead volume for consistent and accurate sampling, which reduces purge volume
  • Use with aerobic or anaerobic bacteria, yeast, fungi, algae, insect, and mammalian cell cultures
  • Standard membrane 0.2 μm
  • Additional stock pore sizes: 0.45, 0.75, 1.0, 5.0, 25.0, 75.0 μm (Custom pore sizes available)
  • Interfaces With Our Seg-Flow® Sampling Systems

Operation

The FISP® AM is delivered in sterile packaging, there is no need for sterilization.

In a sterile hood, prior to operation, the Ambr® 250 Modular Vessel Septum Cap is removed from the vessel and the FISP AM is inserted into this port. Check valves in the tubing line prevent material from flowing back into the reactor. The sample from the Ambr Modular Vessel flows through the microporous membrane into a central channel where the cell-free sample can be directed to a sampling system (Seg-Flow), on-line analyzer, fraction collector, or sample container. Fluid flowrate is dependent upon the viscosity of the culture.
